The newest kid on the block, Blazing Saddles Restaurant & Lounge has been serving up Texas Barbeque and Authentic Tex~Mex cuisine since October 2006. “Blazing Saddles” the name itself conjures up fun, adventure and excitement. Nestled in the heart of Historic West Stanwood, the 100 plus year old structure has been completely renovated to house the large restaurant & lounge with a 250 capacity. The interior has a warm inviting feel and is decorated like a museum with Old West and Indian artifacts. There is an 800 square foot dance floor and a huge professional stage to accommodate the live Country Bands and Pro National Acts that perform there. Live Country music is a staple on Friday & Saturday nights. Karaoke night is Tuesdays - with kids first from 6-8pm and adults from 9-12pm. Western Dance Lessons are taught 3-5 days a week for $3 by Camano Island Resident, Annie O’Barber, whose teaching experience includes; line dancing, 2 step, swing & all other popular Western Dances. Dancing is available from opening at 4pm in the afternoon until closing, with the exception of special programs & private dance lessons.

The Texas Barbeque has been a big hit with the mouth- watering Barbeque Beef Brisket being the most popular dish and the Barbeque Ribs & T-Bone Steak coming in at a close second. Other items worth mentioning are the huge Coconut Prawns, and the latest menu item – the popular 10 oz. New York Steak at a very affordable introductory price of $9.95. All Barbeque dishes come with Baked Potato, cornbread muffin with honey butter, and choice of baked beans or house vegetables. Also on the menu are authentic Tex~Mex dishes including Quesadillas, Fajitas, Enchiladas, Nachos, Burritos & Tacos made with Beef & Pork Barbacoa, Turkey, Chicken or Shrimp.

Happy Hour is Tues through Friday from 4-6pm in the lounge with ½ price appetizers and specials on well drinks and beer. If you come for dinner between 4-6pm Tuesday through Friday there is an Early Bird menu with special prices on steak, brisket & other key items. The club also serves Cedar planked Salmon, Tilapia, savory appetizers, desserts & specialty Margaritas.

Blazing Saddles is also a great place to hold parties & Banquets with seating for 100 or more. There are special Banquet menus to choose from for parties of 20 or more. Kids Karaoke night has become a popular Birthday Party night for kids with all items on the kids menu at $3.95 and include a Chiquita Waffle Cone with vanilla ice cream.
